Has anyone ever worked at Ulta? What is it like? I'm looking to be primarily just a cashier than one of the girls who walks around doing makeovers/answering questions (I can't remember what they call it). I read reviews online about it and they weren't great, but I know there are going to be good and bad reviews about everything. What has been your experience working there? What is the pay/hours like? Any info you can provide would be wonderful.

My friend works there but she's an arch specialist at the brow bar. But all in all she said everyone gets paid goo, an you get a lot of gratis. I say go for it.

My aunt worked there as a hair stylist. She had to quite because they were giving her hours that she specifically said she couldn't work and apparently they were very rude. I've herd a few bad things about them.

I've never worked there but every time I go in there the girls are always snobby and very rude. I stopped going there because of the horrible customer service :/

Snobby at Ulta? That's pretty ridiculous! I've interviewed for a manager position there, didn't get the job, but the benefits seemed awesome. Everyone's always been nice to me at Ulta and the one nearest to my house has a transsexual girl working there, which I thought was pretty cool.

Yeah I think it definitely depends on location and employees/management. I've been to one where everyone was super nice and one where the staff was rude as heck.
If you get an interview just ask about the turnover rate. That's a good way to see if it's a good place to work.
