Firstly... there is nothing wrong with your face.
you have a nice face.
rest is how you wear your make up and more than make up its how your hair is cropped... thats makes a lot of difference and changes to the face. you may wear great looking make up but if your hair style ain't right. it won't work. and if you have a great hairdo and nil make up... YOU ARE GONNA ROCK IT... just like wearing the right shoes with any outfit. so my suggestion to you is get a nice haircut by a professional who could suggest you the right haircut that suits your face and you can manage everyday. cause lets admit it we all look great after a haircut by the dresser but it's about the rest of the days whether you can style your hair the same way every day easily.

Haha, bless you. Funny enough, I am getting my hair cut Thursday. It has been since August...sad to say!
It just seems like things I try would go better if I knew which type of instructions to follow--for example, my eyeliner always makes my eyes look too round--knowing which styles complement my eye shape more than others, etc. *And fixing as in how to "fix up" as in "getting fixed up for the night"*

Have you tried keeping it simple? You have very nice features, and pretty much everything is in symmetry. My opinion is you don't need too much makeup. Just try to cover any spots or redness with concealer, mabey some foundation ( but not darker than your skin tone) or some BB creme, a small touch of blush on the apple of your cheeks and a shiny lipgloss for your lips. As for your eyes, I think they would look perfect with a winged liner ( aka cats eye).
Hope this helps! ^^

Hmmmm why don't you try doing cat eyes, don't try applying any eyeliner under your eye.
if the eye liner makes your eyes look rounder. then avoid it but use ALOT of mascara.
and try contouring your cheeks. it will define your face apply a copper or terracotta or peachy or orangey blush on cheeks not on the apples of the cheeks I will try n post an image to explain you better

Start with mascara and a berry colored lip. Apply Chapstick, dark berry lip, blot and apply gloss or Chapstick again. Just a little color will make a beautiful difference. Lastly, experiment and enjoy!

I'd say you've got a great facial structure. Try contouring your cheeks a little to make your cheekbones pop, then for an everyday look a winged liner can go a long way, leave your bottom waterline free, or apply a nude or white to the bottom and mascara, you could also try tightlining the top waterline to make the eyeliner seem a little thicker if you're like me and a little scared to go thick with it. With that kind of liner you can play a little more with the lip colour too, then you're doing the same everyday but it doesn't feel boring.

Thanks, ladies, I will try winged liner again (I haven't done it since I had to do stage makeup for dance years and years ago). Liner on the bottom lash line makes my eyes look like circles and not in a good way, so yall are right on that! Every time I do any makeup I always tightline, it makes such a hugh difference on my face (I think so anyways). Any advice on how to get it to last longer? I have an Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner that I use and when I go out to a special event I have to take it with me to reapply on the tightline. Thoughts? And I do get in the habit of swiping on the same couple lip shades so need to push myself out of the box. I am a SAHM to two boys under 2 1/2 years after years in a professional office, and have to force myself to spend time on my personal appearance, as much as enjoy it!

To get your make up to last longer try a primer underneath your makeup, and an eye primer if you're going to use eyeshadows. Also a fixing spray is a good one to have, try Mac fix+ or Urban Decay fixing sprays, they're pretty good. :) And if you're a bit afraid of a lipstick colour but like it, buy it, and tone it down with a pale nude tone lipstick or a little concealer, pushes you outside of your box without walking around thinking everyone's staring at your lips! Then you can ease yourself into the different colour until you're comfortable wearing it without toning it down at all. :)

It's the tightline that seems to fade so fast, what's on top of my lashes does ok--do my eyes maybe water more than most??

Are you using a pencil or gel liner for the tightline? Pencil will fade pretty fast but if you use a gel liner it sticks around for a bit longer.
