Remember that getting it on a bone-y area (like a finger or shoulder blade) will hurt a lot more than somewhere with muscle or fat (wrist, upper arm, thigh)

Thanks Emma E.! Yes, the clouds and background will be grey, but the dragon itself will be aqua.

There are no rules for tattoos. You can do whatever you want, its your body. I saw a bumper sticker one time: "Your body is a temple, decorate it!" Just one piece of advice though: Ink fades in the sun. Make sure you wear sunscreen to protect it and additionally use moisturizer to keep the skin supple. Women's tattoos look fresher much longer than men's do, simply because we take care of our skin (so simple to use lotion after a shower or bath).

I know this is a weird question but this topic got me thinking, does it tickle to get a tattoo on the bottom of your foot?

The bottom of the foot would be an extremely painful spot.
A torture technique in antiquity entails beating the bottom of foot with bamboo.
The top of the foot is a very painful spot as well.

Kimi, your sleeve is awesome. I agree with using tattoo to memorialize a life experience, as I too waited until I was 40 to get mine.
My tattoos are about the pains of life and living. Rites of passage in a hostile world. The tattoos do help to cope.
