Every time I use deodorant, I always seem to get a dime sized bump/lump in my arm pit (sorry if it's tmi). I know I'm either sensitive to it or allergic. I have used a powder solid deodorant from Secret as well as one from Almay and Lady Speed Stick and was wondering if using a gel-based deodorant would help and if you had any recommendations of what deodorant would work best for me. Please let me know! Thanks! :)

Vichy Deodorant 24 Hour Care Stick is a good one! Vichy is directed to people with sensitive skin so it is paraben free, it shouldn't irritate your skin! If it does, maybe you're allergic to a common ingredient. Everyone's skin is different!

When I used regular deoderant ( white powder like) I got a little rash. Then I tried gel kinds and its gone away and worked just as well.

The chemicals in most deodorants are very harsh. I have extremely sensitive skin and have to use naturally derived products. I also used to get painful cysts in my armpits from deodorants with high aluminum. The sweat gland gets blocked and gets infected. You can wash it with an anti bacterial soap to heal it.

Yeah I used to get clogged sweat glands all the time from regular old deodorant use. What do I use as deodorant? Patchouli (or any other) essential oil. For the sweat botox :) Had no problems since.

Okay thank you girls! It's good to know there are others out there with sensitive skin. Whenever I go to a store, I seem to see fruity, fragrant deodorants everywhere, and barely any gel and sensitive skin ones for women. I'll make sure to check all your recommendations out! :)

I have one of the LaVanilla fragrances and I love it so I'll check that out once I save up some money!
