Just bought it today and tried it out works well smooth coverage but it say not to use a brush or sponge just your fingers should I do that or do y'all recommend I do something different.

If you use a brush to apply it, when the foundation turns to powder on the brush it could be difficult to clean. I'd make sure my hands are clean and then apply it with my fingers. Then using a sponge I'd even out and blend any lines or caking of the foundation.
