I have bleached my own hair and I was thee same as you worried because so many people have told me bad hair stories. But I still bleached it on my own I do regret it because once you bleach your hair it's never going to be the same, but if you are going to the sides I don't think it's bad to do it yourself :) unless you are bleaching all your hair I say you go to the professional lol but when you first bleach you expect it to be very blond but it actually turns into a light brown it depends how dark your hair hair is :) but your hair is soo pretty! Never dye all your hair but that's what I regret :(

If it's the first time you bleach your hair it hardly do any damage. ( I know from personal experience) but if you aren't familiar with bleaching or dying your hair, I would recommend you go to a professional

Don't do it! box bleach is horrible and since your hair is naturally so dark that it probably will turn a funky orange color.

Last year I bleached the bottom layer of my hair in order to dye it pink and that hair gradually started falling out. I dyed it back to my natural shade but now the bottom layer of my hair is shorter than the top. If you're going to bleach it at home, definitely do your research and if you don't feel completely confident, going to a professional would be your best bet. :)

I agree with Megan box bleach is not a good idea as the results are not 100% that you will get the color you want. I've had friends with your hair type bleach their hair and it turns an almost orange blonde! Bleaching is something to leave for the professionals. Return the dye and go get your hair done (:

I don't know why people are so iffy about boxed bleach. I just went from almost black brown to white blonde in three bleaches of box dye. My hair is still fine. Plus my hair had already been bleached and dyed several times, so if your hair is virgin, you'd get better results than I did. Especially since you're just doing the side. In the end, it's just hair c:

Everyone's saying don't bleach you're hair at home... I guess that's true if this would be the first time you're dying your hair. I've bleached my hair plenty of times to put lots of different colors in my hair. My hair still turned out fine, But it is healthier now than it used to be back then. But even back then people still said I had nice hair. I guess it depends on if you know what you're doing. I've had a lot of experience with hair dye haha :p.

I wouldn't recommend bleaching on your own... If it touches your scalp it will litterally burn and scar your skin (the bleach)

I bleached my hair at home but it was only the ends cause I was going for the ombré look. I'd say dye at home if you wanna only do parts of the hair (not anywhere close to the skull) and you wanna make sure you get a good hair dye! And if you want to dye your whole hair a light colour, go to a salon cause they seem to have magic healthy effective hair dyes :P.
