Many brands carry loose and gel/cream medium glitters. Almost all of them do not recommend them for use on or around the eye (or mouth) area. They are generally in the "body" section or cosmetics websites, or in a separate section of their own. I understand why. The risk of corneal abrasion is fairly high with glitter (and I'm sure swallowing a bunch of it can wreak havoc on a digestive system).
However, lots of people love a glittery eye, and I've seen glitter used on the eye (and mouth) everywhere from drag shows to the pages of Vogue. So my question is for people who really KNOW. Are there particular glitters that are deemed safer for eye/mouth usage, or is everyone just taking their chances with glitter?
Thanks,
H

You should try NYX glitter cream palettes ! They have like 6 different palettes, and they're great! You can get them at ulta, Harmons, cvs, or other drug stores. The palettes are safe and can be used on your eyes, lips, face, and body.

This isn't to say that I don't/haven't used glitter before. I have. I've just noticed that in many online cosmetics stores, glitter is listed under the "body" section rather than the "eye" section. I was curious about why, and wanted to see if anyone knew. :-) Thanks for all the suggestions!
