Braid your hair while it's wet. your hair will be wavy when you take them out.

For light waves, get you hair somewhat straight (if you can straighten it with a straightening iron, but I understand you don't want to use heat, just get it somewhat straight), then pin back yours bangs if you have any and make two braids on each side of your head. Sleep on it :)

Take a shower at night before bed. Then let your hair air dry until it is a little bit damp. Then put in two regular braids on each side and hairspray them a little bit. Secure the braids tightly so they don't fall out when you go to sleep. Then wakeup and take the braids out. Hairspray a little and you're set to go for the day. I do this all the time it's super easy.

I looove sleeping with my hair in a rope braid. Look up a tutorial on YouTube if you don't know what that is. But when I do sleep in one after washing my hair, I get beautiful ringlet curls!! Try it!
