I saw this thing today in our newspaper about wen. I've been wanting to try it. But I'm not about it. I hear mixed feeling about it. Anyone ever use it? Does work? Does it strip hair dye? Will it help my hair grow?

It will strip hair dye a bit, but it didn't help my hair grow:/

I personally really liked it. I tried the original and then the fig one. The fig one was definitely too much for my hair, but the original was fantastic. The price was a bit steep, and it is hard to find here so I researched alternatives and now I use Aussie Moist conditioner and I get the same results. And I get a giant bottle for like $6.00 at my local wallies. :)

I have not heard about it stripping hair dye.. I heard it preserves it longer. It cleans your hair gently without harsh sulfates which you should always avoid. However it works best with curly hair types. I used to use it but it made my hair weighed down a bit.

And personally from my experience with wen and other co washes, I found my color lasted much longer. No fading or stripping. I have a very oily scalp and with my type of hair I have to wash every day. I found switching to the co wash method has helped big time with my oiliness. I still wash my hair daily just because I rely on the conditioner to detangle my disastrous mane in the morning.

I love it being African American and my hair is very coarse hard to deal with. Works great as a detangler for me and my daughter. I am half and she is a quarter, works great for curls.

I've used wen for over two years now. I originally started using it because my hair was so damaged from too much flat ironing. Now my hair is healthier than its ever been! Wen doesn't strip dye at all I dyes my hair with henna over a year ago and I recently shampooed my scalp and that was the first time I watched color go down the drain. Wen will help preserve your color
