Why would I do that? I keep my ends healthy & if I just cut them off, it's making my hair shorter.

ARGAN OIL!!

If your ends are dead, there's no "reviving them" your hair is taking up nutrients and energy to try though, so cutting off split ends would allow your hair to focus it's nutrients and energy on growth. Other than that, a split end is a strand split down the middle and once it is split it'll keep splitting more and more, until it breaks off itself. You could end up losing a lot of length.

A great treatment to keep your hair healthy sp it'll grow is coconut oil, google it!

You definitely have to get a trim, and buy a shampoo with keratin it, it strengthens your hair and might make it grow.

You NEED to cut your ends, you should be getting a trim every few weeks

Also, don't wash your hair every day because every time you wash it you're stripping it of it's natural moisture, drying it out. Try and go as long as possible without washing. I'd say 2ce a week should be good.

You need to gradually cut the damaged ends off. The hair at your scalp must produce more growth than the amount your cutting off. Take hair, skin & nail vitamins. Do a hot oil treatment with olive and/or coconut oil every time you wash your hair which should be 2-3 times a week. Buy a non-stripping/ sulfate free shampoo and a thick, moisturizing conditioner. Keep hair in buns or braid to protect it. Be patient...

Also don't shower with hot water, only warm cuz it burns your hair. And don't do things that pull your hair, like putting it up in a towel after bathing and no tight ponytails.

Okay...if you have split ends you have to trim them. Your hair probably isn't growing because the dead ends are breaking off. Don't wash your hair everyday. During the summer I do NOT use any heat at all because of how Much it can damage your hair. My hair grew 3 inches over the summer just from doing that. Make sure you have a good shampoo and conditioner. Once again, I would trim it...year hair grows from your scalp but that means nothing if your ends are constantly breaking off. When you are sleep I suggest you either put your hair in a bun, braid it, or wrap it up.

There's a video on here and YouTube talking about how to cut off dead ends without completely getting a trim.. hold your hair like this and just cut the dead parts. start high and work your way down.

You have to cut the dead part off and take good care of your living hair.

All of the girls saying you need to cut the dead part off don't know what they are talking about. It's true you do need to keep the dead ends away, but getting regular trims isn't going to make your hair grow. Hair is literally just dead keratin being pushed out of your skin by newer, but just as dead keratin. Your hair is only alive while it's in the hypodermis and dermis layers of your skin, so what you have to focus on is your roots. Take biotin pills (found pretty much anywhere) and regularly massage and pull on your hair gently. Pulling on it gently will pull your skin away from your scalp, thus allowing more blood flow to the hypodermis which is where your hair is created. As for the dead ends, you can buy a dead end syrem and try not to use heat on your hair! Hope this helped!!
