The face cleanser I use make my face dry and I don't think it really helps at all. The face lotion I have is really oily so I like to put it on at night and during the day my skin doesn't feel soft and moisturized.

It really depends what type your skin is. or maybe its just the cleanser. check if it has alcohol. that what you don't want to use for your face.

And also try using a day and night cream I like the moisturizer from aveeno for the day since it has spf but for night I use clean and clear dual action since it helps with pimples

Clinique's face moisturizer is amazing for dry skin. It makes you skin smooth and soft without the oiliness. I had really dry skin and I even started to mix it with my makeup. Plus, the jar lasted me super long.
