Please explain: milk of magnesia for oily skin.

I've seen a lot of people talking about milk of magnesia for oily skin. How does this work? How do you use it?
All I know is that it tastes disgusting as my mum gave it to me as a kid when I was unwell.
Please help :)
Ps I live in the UK so if you suggest a certain product I may not be able to get it.

Just dap your fingers in it or pour it into a bottle put some drops on your hands then spread it on its simple and works.

The products absorbs the oil, allowing your makeup to look matte & sto stay on. Works as a primer therefore apply it after your moisturizer. Apply it with fingers or brush I use my elf foundation brush. You can purchase it at many drugstores (I got mine at walmart). (:
