So I am starting to get into theatrical makeup, my dream job would be on location makeup artistry for music videos. There's just one problem... Fake gore makes me feel uncomfortable. I can do simple gore but anything thats very involved makes me feel quesy and uncomfortable.
That being said, wanting to work on a music video set I might have to do lots of gore and I really don't feel comfortable.
My best friend told me that if I do get that sort of job, I can say that I don't do gore. Is that legit? Will I have trouble getting jobs if I feel uneasy with gore?

You can work around it. There are a lot of music videos that don't require you to work with gore, so just try to stay in that general area and you should be fine.

Don't let that stop you from achieving your dream
It might mean that you will have to refuse certain music videos with a lot of gore
Eventually you might feel more comfortable around it if you are going to stick with job
Change your dreams :)
