I have been getting my MUA travel kit together, but because I'm on a budget, I need to find a good foundation that I could buy. What would you suggest? I need a few shades. I'm used to working with liquid foundation, but wouldn't mind trying a palette. Would it be easier to buy one or two foundations, and use a color corrector to get the shades I may need?

Maybelline offers a range of different types of foundation such as liquid, mousse, mineral powder, etc. as well as their concealers. for people on a budget. I myself wear and also use maybelline products on my clients. my favorite drugstore brand!!!!!

Palettes are the best!!! the professional lines like Ben Nye, Rcma, etc have a foundation palette and a neutralizer / corrector palette. Another option that I use is with MAC Face and Body, I decanter into small plastic bottles. Easy and light weight for traveling.

I was thinking maybe the new revlon color stay cream makeups I like them for myself petrsonally but dont know about using in a kit?

If you want to be taken seriously as a mua you should invest in high quality pro products. Its a marketing tool for your self when you can advertise that your kit is mostly composed of MAC or Nars or other pro products. Brides in particular like to feel as if your are indulging in a luxuary service that may possible not ever get a chance to experience. Seriously how many people do you know on a regular basis gets their makeup done by an artist?
