Sanitization

So I'm going to be starting to practice on my friends so that I can build a portfolio of looks that involve more than my own face. I just bought a whole ton of makeup products for a basic kit. So now I have makeup for me and makeup for the kit, same with the bruhes. My question is what it the best way to sanitize the brushes for clients, and how do I keep the rest of my kit sanitary. Such as my palettes, or eyeliners and stuff like that? Any advice is more than appreciated. <3

Clean your brushes daily, with a brush cleaner from any brand you'd like... Wipe stuff down after every use as well.

use a spatula to scoop cream based products and use a mixing pallet to mix and apply product to the client.

I know it took me forever to figure out how to sanitize makeup and finally I’ve found ways.

Things you need:
70% rubbing alcohol
70% rubbing alcohol pads
Tissue
Paper towels
Spray bottles
Pencil Sharpener

Fill your spray bottles up with the 70% alcohol.

For lipsticks and eyeliners you can either spray them with alcohol or dip them in alcohol. After you do either of those blot them with paper towels. Sharpening an eyeliner will help to take off the layer that isn't clean but I still like to make sure and dip it in the alcohol.

For cream products in a pots or palettes you want to spray them with the alcohol and also blot them lightly with the paper towels.

For dry products like eyeshadow, power, etc. you really do not have to sanitize them with alcohol. Seeing as they are dry (germs like to live in moist places like creams) they don’t promote germs. So for these you can simply wipe them down with the tissues.

When you are on the go or doing someones makeup and you need to sanitize then and there bring some alcohol pads to wipe down your eyeliners and lipsticks and still use your little spray bottle for the cream products.
(I suggest if you are using cream products on a client take a spatula to scoop them out and put them on a mixing palette or the back of your CLEAN hand)

Hope this helped :)

thank you both SO much <3
