I'm a very cheap person actually thinking about spending the money. I'm 13, so my mom doesn't let me wear very dark colors out . I'd really appreciate your help!

In general, the naked palette is more warmed toned, while the naked 2 palette is more cool toned. So i guess it depends what you're looking for. I don't own either, they're both too warm for my skin tone, and I hardly wear neutrals!

here is a side by side comparison of the two, with naked 2 on top and naked on the bottom. http://glimmerandshimmer.files.wordpress.com/2011/12/urban-decay-naked-2-palette-comparisons_01.jpg?w=490&h=326
I hope that helps. At first I was gonna say Naked because I thought it had less darker colors (and from what you mentioned you cant wear them) but I think they have the same amount of dark tones. It's really up to you.

I own both, and honestly, I think I prefer the original Naked. The colors are great in both, but I find myself reaching for Naked more often.

Totally depends on whether you prefer cooler or warmer colors. You'll hear arguments for both based on the preferences of that person. Victoria is right about the first being warmer and the second being cooler. Both have great neutral colors and the quality is the same, so go with the colors that suit you better so you grab for it more.

Andrea, I have seen that the NAKED 2 palette has a really, really deep black colour in it called blackout. How is it? Would you say you've come across better black eyeshadows, or do you think it is of high quality?

Honestly, i bought #1 and i have always been very happy with it. Its def a warmer palette, where UD 2 is cooler. I also purchased Thebalm Nude'tude as its similar but no match and is a little cheaper. There is also a New Palette by NYX called butt "naked" eyes and it includes blushes/bronzers/highlights and its quite awesome as well plus its only 24.00. :)

The only reason why I would think about getting Naked 2 is because of Black-out, but if you have a good black already (like MUFE #4) then you're good to go. I own Naked one and no complaints here, that baby is magic!

I have both of these palettes but if i were to choose just one, it would definitely be Naked2

I would go with Naked because I personally think you can come up with a wider range of looks. I do love Naked 2 but I find Naked to be a lot more wearable. With Naked, you have the choice of 2 matte crease colors (light and dark- night vs day), as well as lid colors that are all different. I feel like with Naked 2, you only have 1 matte crease color and not a very wide range of colors from dark to light. I think you'd get more use out of Naked.
