You have to take care of it. if its bad enough its going to peel to get rid of the damaged. and when you get in the shower it will rub off anyways. mine did and it didnt hurt it peeled for like two to three days and I put eucerin on it the whole time and keeps it moisturized.

I live in south Florida and can't tell you how many sunburns I've had. Buy aloe vera gel we have it at all drug stores keep it in the fridge and constantly use it. Don't let you skin get too dry and wear a high spf next time you're in the sun and limit sun exposure as much as possible it will only make it worse but if it's bad enough like Joe Joe said it'll peel regardless.
