Pore strips are strips that you put on your nose and when it hardens, the black heads will stick on to the strip.

I know this sounds crazy, but my daughter and I were playing around one day and tried this on her nose.
First we rubbed lotion on the blackheads and really worked it in; trying to soften the tops. After that we used astringent to remove the lotion & dried the area thoroughly. Then we put a small piece of duct tape on her nose and pressed it down. (we didn't have nose strips!?!) After a few minutes, we "ripped" it off and lots of the icky was gone. Then she could use a "professional" style metal pimple popper to press out any residual junk. Worked well...good luck!

Pore strips will only remove the plug temporarily. Wayne Goss has a really useful video on Youtube on blackheads and some of the methods of treating them like salicylic acid, go check it out :)

my mom has this black head on her back for years and its like its cemented down there. it not big on the outside but when you feel around the spot it feel a little hard like there's stuff in there. would strips help that? and how do you prevent blackheads?

My boyfriend gets them and I started helping him with them. When I looked at his nose I started to notice very thin small hard to see hairs, I removed them and that seemed to help. I get clogged pores and I read online to use Elmers Glue, that it was just like Biores Pore Strips. I tried it because it was Non-Toxic, of course some would say it was still bad but I have used it and it really does get the dirt out. Also, exfoliate your nose as best as possible, use toner on it too.

Hi Cheyanne,
I'm a Esthetician. the best solution is to get extractions by a esthetician. Prevent blackheads by exfoliating 2x week with Murad exfo mask, or tzone gel. Pore strips are irritating on skin when you pull them off the skin. They remove hair, not blackheads unfortunately. I have more info on exfoliants on my blog as well.

ive been using baking soda and water to make a paste and i put, honey (anti-septic), cinnamon (anti-astrigent), and nutmeg(anti-inflamitory) they have all good properties for the face and after i use lemon (fades acne scars and age spots) gets messy but i feel it working and i use raw honey
