I am a MA, and am mainly using revlon colorstay in my kit. I am thinking if I should upgrade to higher end brands (becoming a snob?), thinking clients will think less of it as opposed to say makeup forever. what do you think?

Nyx hd is amazzze! I would say its as good if not better than mufe hd.it comes in 6-8 shades I believe so you may have to combine them on some clients to achieve the right a shade but at $14 each you can't beat it. I use it for my kit and stock up when its bogo at ulta!

Carrying higher end makeup doesn't make you a snob. :) And if it works, don't stop carrying it. Whether it's $3 from the drugstore or $70 from a department store, YOU'RE the professional, and chances are if your client hired you they trust your judgement. :)

Robert Jones depots all his stuff, he labels it just in case some one is allergic or 'allergic' (always trust them if they're specific about an ingredient or even brand) but if they can't see a label, they focus on the outcome. You aren't selling them makeup/paint, you are selling them the artwork.

I think that there are amazing artist lines out there now available to us for the same price as a few of those foundations.. like RCMA, Ben Nye, Graftobian.. you can get a great palette that is affordable and artist friendly for different work types.

Thanks Elizabeth. yes, I signed up for a pro discount and paid $25 for MUFE, which I thnik is a very decent price. bought 4/5. I still feel I need to practice on the mixing different shades to get the right shade. any helpful ideas?

I LOVE the revlon colorstay liquid foundation. It covers well and actually stays on all day. The consistency is great and I love how it comes in the oily/combination formula and the normal/dry skin formula. I've used both and the oily/combination one works great on my skin!! I also own the Makeup forever HD foundation and still am unsure about it for my skin. Sometimes I find it makes my dry spots look extra flakey.
