I honestly wish I could answer! I saw this before and quite frankly I am asking the same thing! I wanted to try Manu panic semi permanent hair dye, so I was wondering if my hair would fade back to its original color.

Omg yes! That's what I want to know because I had no idea the John Frieda was permanent!

A temporary colour will just fade back to the last base colour which would be the blonde you have just dyed it to hun.. Try and find a dye that is close to your root colour to blend it in then have some highlights put in at a later date.. Once youve dyed it/bleached it , its really hard to go back xx

The best thing would probably be going to a professional. Dying over lightened hair can be tricky and it sounds like you don't have a lot of experience. Trying to dye your whole head back to your natural color over the blonde while avoiding your roots will be difficult to do at home. Best bet: go to a salon and they can fix it. Otherwise, dying and resting your hair at home trying to get it right will just fry it.
