Model mayhem is a good place to start- building your portfolio, networking gaining experience.
Think of yourself as a brand and make sure everything is consistent: wedsite, social media and business cards.

Depending on what kind of makeup you want to do- go down those avenues and introduce yourself to people
Ex: bridal- go to different salons and wedding venues
