I did a trial recently and my clients skin became quite patchy after. I cleansed, toned, moisturized with Dior hydralife for combo skin, let it sink in for about 10 min and applied Cinema Secret foundation with beauty blender. For my past weddings this had turned out beautiful, so I'm just looking for any techniques or products and quick fixes to help when this happens make the skin look as best as it can. I did make it look as flawless as I could, but I want to hear what everyone has to say, if this happens to you and what you do? Thanks.

Perhaps she should exfoliate, unless its a reaction to product. What do you mean by 'Patchy?'

Yeah, I'm grabbing her an exfoliating mask to use a few days before her wedding day, so hopefully that should help. Patchy like the foundation was sitting in the dry areas.

I would recommend a scrub exfoliate and use that about twice a week before the wedding. a mask will work ok but chances are there will still be dry spots if she starts it now depending when the wedding is her skin will have time to renew with nice skin.hope that helps

I recommend using the most basic stuff - such as Cetaphil or Clinique - for clients with tricky skin in order to minimize any reactions. Even though Dior is a prestige brand, there may be a fragrance compound or another ingredient that she has a particular sensitivity to.

The best thing for your bride to do is to get a full facial 3 weeks before the wedding, and a week before the wedding she should get a refresher facial. This will give you a smooth canvas to work with.

I would say a better moisture lotion

I'm thinking that you should recommend an exfoliating cleanser for your client and a creamy moisturizer. Let it get completely absorbed into the skin, and then prime the face with a silicone primer. The Lorac poreMattifier primer is amazing and works well on different skin tones.
