It should have instructions on it,if you are still not sure look on youtube for tutorials.

It's important to remember that the color you see on the box is most often color that was deposited on a clean slate...by a pro and has been toned and edited to perfection. What color were you seeking? Also..plastic caps keep heat in and encourage even color!
