Very dry skin?

So, I used to have oily skin until, one week ago, I decided to do a face mask with baking soda. It helped me a lot. But now my skin is so dry that even when I put on mosturizing cream I feel that it is dry. I don't know if I explained well, but I wanted to know what should I do now.

Cetaphil is like my holy grail moisturizer. I get super dry patches on my face but then I started using cetaphil every night and it's so thick and creamy that your face will feel so much better after about a week.

Extra virgin coconut oil, I use the Spectrum brand... But I mix with reg clean and clean dual action moisturizer, it looks super good for my dry skin but its makes your skin look super oily so I use more at night and not as much before I apply primer and makeup...
