I LOVE THIS POST. I've asked this question before and got minimal replies. I like to wear all black because I think it's so professional but I always run out of ideas. I will be attending cosmetology school in the fall and the requirement is all black, no denim or leggings so I'm super lost how to dress.

When I wear all black to school, I like to do leggings and a funky black shirt (open back, etc.) with tall black riding boots, flats or combat boots.

I've been wanting to do a blog post on this! I'm happy people would actually be interested in reading it!
I find it strange your cosmetology school said no denim or leggings...
I LOVE my high waist leggings- black and a staple for a majority of my outfits.
Also lots of layers, so a few basic black dresses that I layer over with oversized shirts or sweaters.
Then black boots, I just bought the most adorable black flats, also geometic stud earrings are a staple for me as well.

I attended aveda and we also couldn't wear leggings and could only wear denim on specific fridays, it is hard to find some cute dress pants but new york and company has skinny dress pants!

When I was attending Aveda Institute here in Orlando, the dress code was always black. And while I agree it looks professional, I believe you can always use a scarf or statement jewelry to punch it up. You want to attract people to your work, not your wardrobe. Hope this helps!

I have the cutest button up high low dress with a pionted collar! one of my favorite pieces in my closet in general! so easy to jazz up with accessories and so stylish compared to a regular shirt and pants... if not that I'd choose this more comfortable crop top with some cut outs, but more professionally layer with black jackets/cardigans/scarfs. and I wear black pants all the time to work so if I had to choose bottoms I'd wear my black cotton midi skirt! fashion forward!

At Continental we wore scrub uniforms with closed toed shoes... Ours were all white. I love the all black look but I don't see myself wearing a dress because of ease of movement.
