Yup. I went from having black hair for years to having Vamipre red. Fortunately, I wear 99% black all the time anyway, so not much changed. I did have to give up hot pink. That sucked.
Going from brow to red won't actually involve giving up much. Most of what looks good on brown hair should look good with red hair, except maybe pastel blue, some pinks, orange. You're makeup shouldn't have to change too much either.
Of course when you say "red velvet cupcake" I'm getting the impression this is not a natural hair color. If that's the case, my advice is to be a little bold in your makeup. When your hair is an insane color, you've already abandoned the natural look, so go for broke.
Also, make sure your brows match. Get an eyeshadow close to your new hair color and use a brow liner brush to fill in your brows with it. It will pull the look together. I recommend the MAC counter. They make a lot of good burgundy/red shadows. I personally use their lip liners in cherry and burgundy on my brows.
Good luck!!!
