I have heard it can damage your hair. That later on it can make your hair fall out faster. That's from a friend who went to cosmetology school who told me but I really wouldn't take my word for it.
Lol I just figured I'd try to help a little :)
But from what my friend says, she has weaker hair and less hair from her extensions that she constantly wears

Depends on the method mostly

Symone is correct. It depends on the method..the skill of your stylist...the time put into care, etc. While in, you aren't cutting length, so slight split ends are common and a few light trims after removal can remedy that. You'll have some shed, but many people FEEL as if they have thinner hair after removal due to their having become accustomed to the fullness their extensions provided for them. Again, it truly does boil down to what type you have/method.

I wear clip ins?

Lol...you should be fine. It's just like any barrette. I'd avoid tugging at them, but I'm sure you already do that. Sometimes the scalp gets irritated and that could explain losing some hair. If it's mild and there is little shedding, I personally wouldn't worry. If you are thinning excessively or have quite a bit of shedding of strands, that could be a medical issue. Hope that's of some assistance.

I wear clip ins too,I know glue ins and weaves etc.can cause damage if you don't put them in properly.Like Rozberry said avoid tugging them.

Clip Ins, no. I've been wearing clip in extensions daily for almost a year now. If anything, my hair has gotten better because I'm constantly styling/fussing with the extensions as opposed to my natural hair. The only thing is to make sure you take them out correctly which most people do anyway (actually unclip them. One time I just tugged them and I ripped my own hair out. My fault.)
I wouldn't advise any other type of extensions besides clip ins. I've heard horror stories about microbeads and fusion extensions.

Clip ins apparently leaves bold patches in your hair I heard.

Clip ins are more helpful than harmful tbh. it can cause some damage if you don't actually take your time to put them in and take them out, otherwise your hair can get caught in the clip and it'll cause breakage but its minimal. just make sure youre taling care of your natural hair as well.

Clip ins can cause bald patches. I currently have one that I'm growing out. You really want to make sure you change up the placement of the clips. Don't clip it in the same place everytime. Also, try to reduce the tension on your scalp by styling them when they aren't in your head. Curl, straighten and detangle when they aren't in your hair then clip them in and blend your natural hair with the clips.
