I went to my stylist 2 days ago to get blonde highlight put into my dark brown hair. Well she toned the highlights to take away the brassiness (thankfully, because I am not a fan of the brassy blonde look on myself), but now they are too dark! They are barely even blonde! Is there anything I can do to lighten them to a much lighter/cooler blonde without having to go and get my hair dyed again?! Any and all advice will be immensely appreciated!!

I tell my clients to wash their hair with Dawn dish soap if their toner seems too dark. Its gentle enough for oil spill animals! Someone taught me that a long time ago who's been doing hair for ages. It helps fade the toner because toner is only semi permanent. Hope that helps!

It will lighten as it fades - you don't have to do anything it will get lighter on its own... if you are looking to speed up to process you can wash your hair with hot water and try a shampoo that brings out the blonde highlight like john frieda or another brand for blonde hair you can also sunbathe the hair without any product on it too - it might take longer than washing but the sun exposure should lighten it.
