When I focus on my nose I can see that most pores look dark or black. maybe its sebum or may be my hair is dark. it's not visible over makeup but I would like some advice on how to daily clean your nose. I exfoliate once a week and still it makes no difference.

Try an oil cleanser to soften outer layer of skin cells so that the pores may express themselves!! :)

It could be blackheads or just visible sebaceous glands... if they are blackheads then it means your pores are filled with dirt - so you need to clean them really well to get rid of them - the best way to clean blackheads out is to exfoliate 2-3 times a week with glycolic acid or a glycolic acid peel - if you clean them this way and still see the pores they are probably just large and visible - can't do much about that... but you can diminish the appearance of large pores with makeup primers that have silicone to fill the pores - good primers include benefit's porefessional and clarins instant smooth - but any silicone based primer will do - hope that helps!

I have really big pores. my brother calls them craters. and exfoliating doesn't really help for some reason because after a good scrub I can still see white stuff inside... I am guessing they are deep too. I am really frustrated. I am also worried that when I wear makeup.. it will fill those pores deep and makeup removal won't go that deep.

That's why you need to do a deep cleaning mask every week, and always apply primer before foundation :)

Extraction has been the only method that truly works for getting rid of my blackheads. exfoliation only removes the top layer of dirt from the clogged pore. you can get professional extraction/deep cleansing facials or do at home methods like biore strips or a steam and then squeeze them out. always make sure your hands and face are clean and your pores are opend.
