Hi everyone, I'm almost 33, ten months ago I moved from not so sunny England; having lived there all my life, to hot and humid Malaysia; unfortunately my skin hates me for it!
Indoors we often have fans and air-con on which dries my skin out, then outdoors it's never really below 30°C, I started getting what we think was a chronic hives rash or possibly some sort of contact dermatitis all over my body but that's calmed down now. My face keeps breaking out in spots and rashes but its also very dry and flak. My pores seem to be producing more oil which causes a lot more build up and I can't deal with all the blackheads, the worst of which is on my nose. I've become super super sensitive to any product that isn't natural. I'm trying desperately to fix it but each time it starts to get bit better, I have another set back and it all goes bad again. I have a friend here that makes her own natural soaps and she sold me one that is really good for my type of skin, it has helped a bit but I am still struggling to prevent flaky face days or breakouts of spots on my jawline, clogged pores, redness blotches and puffy under-eyes. Going nuts! HEEEELLLP!!

I am also on a very limited budget by the way so I prefer stuff I can make at home or stuff that is not expensive.

It's going to sound weird. but I would try some Apple cider vinegar. it brings your skins ph balance to a normal level. dilute it with some purified water. I would do half and half. try using it like a face toner. Apply it to a cotton ball and apply to your face.

I second what Kim M suggest. Another thing that can also be irritating your skin could be the tap water. If you're not using one already I highly advise picking up a water filter for your shower head and sink faucets. I spent several months in the Philippines a few years ago and I experienced the same thing. On a second trip I installed filtration systems on everything that dispersed water...what a huge difference it made. I left there issue free.

Your skin is producing more oil because of thr heat in hot weather your skin is much more irritated just try using a gentle cleanser and you can use witch hazel or the apple cider as a toner as kim said then try argan oil for your moisturizer argan oil comes from a tree that is in very humid weather it just balance your skin out and help slow down your oil production but it must be 100 percent organic oil

Normally, changing a living environment will cause skin to break out. Now you just need to get used to it. Try to use a light cleanser to wash the face, and you don't need to use moisturizer because it will produce more oil. I'm from Vietnam so I totally understand the weather cuz Malaysia is just similar to Vietnam hehe.

Try to sprinkle thermal water and let it dry on your skin. Your body is just trying to compensate all the water it looses with the heat!
