Hey I just got an eyeliner in pen because I'd like the cat eye. I think that the pen's easier for a beginner. What do you think. Any sugestion?

I know that the gel liner is "better" and I can use the gel liner BUT I really prefer the look and use of the felt tip. I don't feel like gel liner is that much better and you still have to go over it with shadow to get a matte finish. My favorite felt tip liners are the Lorac Pro Liner and Kat Von D's Tattoo Liner.

I love eyeliner pens, easiest way to get a perfect cat eye. I use ELF Essential Waterproof Eyeliner pen. Just $2, it's a steal.

My pens, even when stored properly, tend to run dry quickly. I'm fond of the wand, which is also fantastic for beginners. Stila and Make up Forever both make great liquid liners with a very fine tip that you'd apply as if you were using a pen. Love Kat Von D's pens...when they are new. Very easy to use!

I've used liquid or gel eyeliner but I wasn't that good so I decided to use a pen which is easier. I hope and wish to get better!

Alex, have you tried using the pen and then going over it with the gel? So you already have the line in place as a stencil to follow. That helped me a lot.
