I just dyed my hair and I don't know what happened... I used the same box I had used before. The color is "power reds" by feria and I've had red hair for months. it was kind of wearing off and decided to dye again but it ended up black. I can't understand why. Should I go to the salon and get it fixed?

You probably should let your hair relax before you go get it fix , if it turned out black then they'll probably want to bleach your hair. That's what they did to mine two years ago when I decided to dye my hair red & it ended up black with red splotches all over the place.

Feria is one of the worst box dyes because it contains metallic salts. Metallic salts are a progressive dye which means with each time you color it will get darker and darker. Metallic salts are extremely reactive with other chemicals, so if you try and bleach it, your hair could burn off fumes or smoke. I suggest letting it fade out a bit, and if you are going to color your own buying you color from sallys is your best option!

Black? That's insane! Maybe the colour inside was wrong, sometimes box dyes have that, at my market some people put the dyes in other boxes for fun...weirdos
