What is bb and cc cream?? and are you suppose to use one or the other? and instead of foundation? how do you know which one you need to use?

Cc cream has more skin benifit but has less coverage and bb cream is more like tinted lotion and I use concealer and bb cream for light coverage and bb cream and foundation for full coverage.

Yes^^ and I would say you would substitute a bb or cc for foundation during the day when you want some sun protection. I don't really like bb and cc creams anymore because I'm so sensitive to chemical sunscreens and they tend to get greasy. Tarte has a good bb cream with zinc oxide which is non-chemical, and it feels like silk when you apply, but some people (me) still can't use it because it does contains plant extracts in the irritant category

Basically, and if you don't wanna wear "foundation". It's a lot of marketing gimmicks. I would wear them in the summer like going to the lake and not wanting to wear makeup but wanting my skin to look even and have sun protection.

Angel is right. Cc just has more pigment. They both vary in their benefits from product to product and are supposed to benefit the skin and make the skin look better. Foundation is made for beautiful coverage. Every product has its own claims and differ.

Bb and cc creams both can replace or go under foundation, depending on how much coverage you want. Bb creams are similar to tinted moisturizers, and cc creams can actually improve your skin over time. Dani, I've never used the loreal bb cream, however, I've been using the smashbox cc cream which I like a lot :)
