I have super oily skin. I've tried everything to try and stay shine-free all day or majority of the day.
At the moment I use MAC's skin base visage but that only helps for a couple of hours. I'm quite dark skinned so colourless would be better
Help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Just like chemistry. Like dissolves like. Use an actual oil to moisturizer your skin. Almond oil is great for oily skin and replaces that dirty oil with a clean fresh one without making you oily. Remember your skin is an sensory organ to the more you strip it of oil the more it'll produce to compensate for it.

So the more* and if you do try oil use 3:1 ratio. Of castor oil and almond. The more oily the more castor the more drier then you switch it to 3 parts almond and one part castor. Hope this helps x

I've heard about using oil to combat oiliness but I'm hesitant
I'll give it a go though. I've tried everything so might as well

Kitty is right. just like you've got to fight fire with fire sometimes, its the same for your skin and oil production. do your research and find the right combination of oils that work for you. there are also oil cleansers available anywhere skincare is sold if you don't want to diy. look up reviews and ratings to see if you can find one compatible with your skin type.

Try not to use moisturizer, and wash your face everyday. You might want to use a face mask to soak up oils on your face. Or maybe go to a dermatologist.

Try using a clay mask every once in a while (Once a week maybe.) This will help sop up some oil and balance the skin.
You definitely DO want to use a moisturizer because the more dehydrated your skin is, the more oil it will produce.
I'm still trying to figure out something that works well for my oily skin, so I unfortunately can't recommend any particular products - but overall just make sure your skin stays hydrated and clean.

Have you tried Hourglass Veil primer? This is supposed to be really good for mopping up oil all day long. It is made of really good ingredients too. You can read about it here: http://www.oilyskinguide.com/oily-skin-products/best-make-up-for-oily-skin/
There are some other products on there too that are good for oily skin in general, great cleansers and foundations and so on.
It's true also that a couple of drops of milk of magnesia work in a similar way to absorb the oil on your face. But it makes a very thin layer of white powder over your skin (which is basically what absorbs the oil). Some people like this whitening affect but I'm not fond of it.
Personally I don't find moisturising helps my skin to produce less oil. I've tried this route and it just makes my break-outs even worse.

I tried oil as a moisturiser and it didn't work for me. I used jojoba.
