I need help with Semi-Permanent!!

Okay so currently my hair is my natural dark brown color with light brown ombré on the ends and I've been debating about dying my hair back to dark because I miss it but I know In 2 months or so I'll probably want it light again. So, if I use semi-permanent dye or a hair color rinse in a shade of dark brown or black will it eventually fade and go back to the ombré?

Semiperm ( amonia and developer free) or demi? 1st will fade after 1 week (about 4 washes), demi fades in 3 weeks. I,ve dyed my hair with demi and after 10 washes it,s back to where I came from - the answer is yes:-)
