My understanding is that they use chemicals to peel the first few layers off of your skin. I had an all natural peel one time that smelled like pinneaple and was very gentle. I did notice my skin was softer and some impurities were gone. The lady said it was mild and results wouldn't be drastic but I know the chemical ones are suppose to be like amazing results

There are a variety of peels ranging in price, product, and recovery time..each pinpointing particular issues. Some are natural, noninvasive while others are done in a series, with a little recovery time as the skin sheds. There are deep peels, which penetrate the flesh..leaving ya looking like a burn victim until the skin heals over. Those usually require anesthesia or something for pain. This, of course, is the EXTREME. Most peels are light and have little to no down time. They bring a glow back to dull skin and soften fine lines while others target acne and evening skin tone/treating hyper pigmentation. You can get one from a trusted Derm, at a spa from a licensed Esty or purchase one through any Ulta or Sephora. A search on their website will provide ingredients, pricing and reviews/results. Peels are an excellent way to keep skin looking radiant and clear. All things in moderation.. lol
