I have this issue too. My hair is curly and very fine and I struggled forever with finding something to use to tame the static and not make my hair look greasy or flat. Go to a Walmart, K-Mart or similar supermarket store and pick up a bottle of Static Guard. It's only a few bucks and will last you forever. It doesn't smell the greatest, I know. But you can illuminate this smell if you spray the SG directly onto your hairbrush and then run the brush through your hair right after you wash it. This gets rid of any static you would have after your hair dried and there's no lingering smell from the spray.

Is your hair curly or wavy? If so, never brush it when dry, just use a wide tooth comb on wet hair and put some pro naturals argan oil in it first to get rid of static and smooth out tangles.

My hair is VERY straight. I never straighten it. I just brush it and it's straight as can be.
