So I literally love figure skating but I need a modest dress to wear for a competition.. The top doesn't matter it's really the skirt because when I spin and jump my skirt goes right up! I can't wear long skirts because its hard to Skate in and can be really dangerous so I don't really know what to do?? Shall I wear thicker tights?? Any suggestions??
Thanxxx:)

I'm a skater too and most skating dresses are leotards with skirts sown over top and it's normal for your skirt to fly up even with a longer skirt but you could wear black booty shorts underneath and for team events I wear black lulu lemon or tna yoga pants.

It's a bit late, but if you really want advice check out this link.

Or to sum it up, take a look at this lovely figure skater in the link.

She's wearing thick low-rise tights/leggings after her dress, you should try it too.
The most important thing is never really about the length of the skirt, but what you wear under the skirt considering most skaters just love and need to bring out their butt, crotch and bare legs hence the flesh-colored tights.
A total obsession of skin-tone sadly.
