Jamaican black castor oil is amazing for hair (curly). But any brand is good just make sure it uses natural ingredients! (Like castor oil lol, they have some ripoffs out there.

I just bought some yesterday, the heritage castor oil. Just make sure whatever you buy is cold pressed. I've learned there's really no difference between regular castor oil and Jamaican black castor oil. The Jamaican black just has ashes in it, nothing really beneficial. So try either one :)

You can use it on your hair and skin. If you use it on your hair, try mixing it with a little coconut oil and/or water. This way it isn't so thick, and won't make your hair appear greasy.

I'm not sure what's best, I picked up the heritage brand because that's all the store had at the moment, I know some people use the "now" brand too. Just make sure whatever you get is cold-pressed and hexane free. :)

Oh please tell me why? Why does it have to be cold pressed?

Cold pressing means there is no heat involved, castor beans are squeezed at high pressure to extract when pressed out of the seed. The advantage of cold pressing is that you do not degrade any of the oil using heat. Which means more nutrients are kept in the oil. Therefore it's much more beneficial for your hair and skin :)
