Cotillion hair help!

Cotillion is in two weeks and I don't know if I should straighten my hair or have it in curls? Last year I had it straight. My hair stays both ways. I have a barrel curler and I could also brush out the curls but they might look poofy! The black and white dress on the left is the one I'm wearing this year and the green/blue one on the right is what I wore last year and also the
curling iron I have. Please help!
