I use dawn soap and a little bit of olive oil. And I clean them once a week. Nicole Guerriero (beauty guru) on YouTube has an awesome video on brush cleaning too. Hope that helped! :)

I use Dr. Bronner's soap (peppermint scented) and soak them in there for about 20 minutes. You can buy the liquid soap from target and I wash mine once a week
