Okay, so I have really wavey hair and its a bit damaged from coloring and bleaching so much over time. I haven't been doing too much to it lately so that I can get it healthy again. It seemed to be growing out pretty well, however, it almost seems like it has stopped growing or slowed down. Its not as long as I want it.

what are some good tips to help my hair grow longer and faster?

Take biotin everyday! I have been taking it for a while and I do notice my hair grows a little faster. It's not going to be an over night change but it will help! Also stay hydrated! This will help if you have bad skin as well. Also what Sutton said about massaging your scalp is true, it increases the blood flow!

1 egg white with 1 tsp. of lemon juice is a perfect hair mask that will give your hair moisture, shine and will help your hair grow faster. Just massage it into your hair with the tips of your fingers, not with your nails. Then leave it in your hair for about 20min. And then wash it out. If you want more shine and moisture, beat the egg yolk and massage it into your hair and leave it in for 20min. just like before, and wash it out :)! Do this once or twice a week an you should get some pretty good results ;)

First, it's extremely important to know that the speed at which your hair grows is genetic, and the best that you can do is make sure you keep it healthy, so that it's growing as fast as it can.

What I do to keep my hair healthy:
1. Cut off all of the dead ends. Nothing you can do will seal them back together, and they'll just keep splitting up the shaft until they totally ruin your hair.
2. Invest in a good sulfate and sodium chloride free shampoo and conditioner. I like the L'oreal EverStrong line. Also invest in a good deep conditioner, I like Macadamia's Deep Repair Masque.
3. In the shower, wash your hair first thing. Apply shampoo only to your scalp, and conditioner only from the ears down. After that, apply your deep conditioner liberally to the ends of your hair, and minimally to the rest of your head. Finger comb until you don't feel any more snags/knots, and then put your hair in a bun. Leave it like that until the end of your shower, and then rinse it out with cold water.
4. Try not to heat style. If you absolutely must, use a heat protector. My favorites are the John Freida Full Repair spray and the Tressemme Heat Tamer spray. Also, try not to brush your hair as much, especially when it's wet, as that can cause breakage.

That's pretty much all I do, and my hair has grown about 6-8 inches in 10 months. It's a process, but like I said, hair growth rate is genetic.

Also mixing 1 tsp. of argan oil with 1 tsp. of castor oil and massaging it into your scalp will help your hair grow super super fast! And leave it in your hair for about 20 min., and wash it out in the shower.! Do this twice a week before you go to sleep and you should see huge results in about a month!

Please don't take pills without talking to your doctor. I don't know about hair infinity, but biotin pills are meant for people with biotin deficiencies. if you don't need it it won't do anything for you other than possibly give you some side effects. instead, try to eat foods high in biotin. keratin stuff too.

And not only that^ but like I said, it is literally ENCODED INTO YOUR GENETICS. Nothing you can take or apply will make your hair grow any faster than it is genetically supposed to at it's healthiest. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2010/04/100415085317.htm.

Hey Hannah thanks for the information that is very helpful. I honestly never knew that it was based on your genetics!

Happy to help! I just realized that link isn't working, let me see if I can figure out how to fix that...
"Gene That Regulates Hair Growth Identified
Apr. 18, 2010 — Activation of the gene Lhx2 leads to increased hair growth. This is shown by Leif Carlsson's research team at Umeå University in Sweden in an article in the latest web edition of the scientific journal PLoS Genetics. The findings partly refute earlier research results in the field.
Hair is important for temperature regulation, physical protection, sensory activity, seasonal camouflage, and social interactions. Hair is formed in hair follicles, which are complex mini-organs in the skin that are specialized for this purpose. All hair follicles are formed during fetal development, then new hair is generated in the hair follicle by continually undergoing phases of recession, rest, and growth throughout life. The length of the hair is determined by the duration of the growth phase; for example, the growth phase for scalp hair can proceed for a number of years, while the growth phase for eyebrows last a few months.
After the growth phase, hair formation ceases, and the follicle recedes and enters a period of rest. After a period of rest, a new growth period starts, and the old hair is ejected and lost from the body. The reason for this complex regulation of hair growth is not understood, but it has been suggested that it makes it possible to adjust hair growth to the season.
In the present study Leif Carlsson's research team identifies the transcription factor Lhx2 as an important regulator of hair formation. The Lhx2 gene is active during the hair follicle's growth phase and is turned off during the resting period. The scientists have been able to show that Lhx2 is functionally involved in the formation of hair, as hair follicles in which Lhx2 has been inactivated cannot produce hair. Moreover, the activation of the Lhx2 gene in hair follicles has been shown to activate the growth phase and hence the formation of hair. Thus, Lhx2 is a gene that is important for the regulation of hair growth.
In stark contrast to previously published research findings from other teams of scientists, Leif Carlsson and his colleagues found that Lhx2 is primarily expressed outside the so-called bulge region of the hair follicle, where the follicle's stem cells are found. The Umeå researchers have also shown that Lhx2 is necessary for the hair follicle's growth (anagen) phase to proceed and for the hair follicle's structuring. Moreover, transgenic expression of Lhx2 after birth is sufficient to activate the growth phase and stimulate hair growth.
These findings allow for an alternative interpretation of the function of Lhx2 in hair follicles compared with previous results. Lhx2 is expressed periodically, primarily in precursor cells that are distinct from the cells in the bulging region of the follicles. It is a factor that is necessary for hair to be formed and to grow."

I agree with Lili! Staying away from heat helps a lot. When I wanted to grown my hair out, it was above shoulder length. Within a year my hair was to the middle of my back and now it's to my waist. The first year I didn't straighten my hair at all I just would blow dry the roots of my hair so it wouldn't be so wet. But now I let it air dry and my hair does grow really fast. Like some people said it's genetics probably but I think reducing heat is worth a try. Good luck!

For growth, drink plenty of water daily and eat more proteins, fruit and veg (dark green veggies are the best). Massage your hair every day, wet or dry for about 10 mins and flip your head upside down for 20 seconds so that you can promote circulation in your scalp. Once or twice a week, massage your scalp with almond oil and leave it in for 15-30 minutes before washing it out. A healthy treatment does a lot to make your hair grow, I use an argan oil from pro naturals and it works great.
