Hey everyone the title pretty much says it all lol I got a good amount of sephora gift cards for Christmas and I really want the clarisonic Mia 2 but then when I think of all the makeup I could get instead I'm like hmmm.. lol I do have a good makeup collection and wanna start taking care of my skin but I've also heard mixed reviews on the clarisonic ugh! Which would you choose?

I would chose the Clarisonic because I've been wanting it for so long, and I've heard it helps your complexion so much you probably wouldn't need to use as much makeup and save in the long run. Just make sure you keep using it throughout the purge phase, otherwise you have to start from square one!

Personally I'd go with makeup and just find a good face wash that clears up any imperfections :) I know Olay has that triangle shaped rubber face thing that's like the clarisonic but is only 15$ and I've heard just as good reviews on that as I have the clarisonic.

Clarisonic. Use it to create a better canvas for your makeup application!

Clairsonic! It's something that you will use more often and last longer than the makeup. I bought one yesterday (clairsonic Mia in lavender) from Lovelyskin.com for $87 and free shipping!

Well if you don't wear a lot of heavy foundations then you don't need the clarisonic.. Just keep that in mind.

I agree with Tonita. Don't get me wrong I loveeee makeup lol but my Clarisonic has made my skin look 5,000 times better than it used to. I will never be without my Clarisonic, but you do need to remember to replace the brush heads (make sure you get the right kind for you skin, I use the sensitive) every 3 months, but I sometimes go a little bit longer and put them is the dishwasher to clean them... I recommend the Clarisonic to anyone because it is so much more effective than just washing with regular soap and water. I also don't use the Clarisonic brand face washes, I just use CeraVe (first I remove makeup with Neutroena Wipes, and then just rinse face of with CeraVe) and then I use Avon Acne Cleanser (it works really good for me, its the one in the purple and white bottle though, not the orange) and I use that soap just on my Clarisonic. The reason I use two different soaps is to ensure that all of my makeup is off first before using the Clarisonic but that is just because I like to wear a lot of makeup lol.

I would choose the Clarisonic for sure. It got rid of all the tiny little bumps that I would get on my forehead and cheeks. And it makes you feel so much cleaner. The first time you use it you'll be like "holy crap, my face has never felt so clean". I recommend getting the most sensitive brush head they have if you do end up getting it. And also remember not to scrub your face very hard with it. Be gentle!

I'm not a fan of the Clarisonic but to pick between the two I would reach for the Clarisonic. You mentioned already having a nice collection of makeup so now is the time to focus on great skincare. Get the complexion looking smooth and issue free will then allow you to use less product (makeup) in the long-run and you can go for the lighter coverage foundation (s) and spend the extra savings on lippies and eye products. :)

Okay thank you so much everyone! I will definitely be getting the clarisonic then :) because as joana mentioned that it's for girls who like to wear heavy makeup and oily skin, yeah that's me lol I think it would help my pockets with not having to buy full coverage foundations. Will keep you all posted when I use it for a while, thanks!

I cannot live without my clarisonic! Plus whenever I get a gift card for something I'd usually purchase a more expensive item (that I'd not normally just purchase so easily because of the price) so it takes a big chunk off the final price so it seems like I got a good deal Haha. That's just how I roll.
