I would try a green tinted primer! Smashbox has a nice one!

I like revlon colorstay if you don't pile it on because it thick enough to cover redness but shear enough it won't cover freckles ( I've struggle with redness too) but if your pale make sure you get a light shade.

"It cosmetic Bye bye redness"
A few beauty gurus use this. I know one has bad redness and the foundation covers up really good!

NYX has a green tinted primer if you're looking for a dupe for the Smashbox one :)
I also have freckles, and one of my favorite foundations is Rimmel Match Perfection. It evens out my skin tone but still lets my natural skin and freckles shine through.

I agree with Patricia for the IT cosmetics Bye Bye Redness, but it will be too dark for your skin tone because it comes in one shade and you are very fair. I would try the Covergirl 3-in-1 foundation because it has awesome coverage.
