Help Wanted: Highlighting?

I am quite unfamiliar with the usage of highlighters ( I use everything but). I hate putting creamy & texturized makeup on my face for it comes off a little tooo.. CAKEY! So I'd absolutely appreciate any feedback or recommendations on the subject. thanks much xo :)

Highlighting makes certain parts of your face stand out, like more bright or glowy.. So if you want your eyes bright, you can use a concealer that is two or three shades lighter to brighten he bottom of your eyes or highlight your cheek bones which is below your eye and above your cheeks so when the light catches it, it looks pretty and dewy.

This pictorial provides insight into highlighting. As for products, as I'm tan I just use mac melon pigment sparingly. Saves money and it's extremely Versitile pigment
