Hey guys,
I'm thinking of putting together a bridal contract.. Have any ideas of what The contract should entail?

A deposit up front so in case they cancel at the last minute or don't show up you're not out of money since that could've been a time booked for someone else. I deal with a makeup artist who does my face for competitions and her deposit is $100. And I pay the rest $150 the day of the event. She had me sign a contract agreement describing exactly the services she was providing ( which also included applying a spray tan). The date/ time and location. After several shows she knows that I'm not going to flake on her so she stopped pulling out the contract and deposit requirements but for her other clients she is strictly about that deposit and contract. I respect an artist who has that in place because it also holds them accountable as well. My artist has a clause in hers that states if for any reason she is unable to provide her service that day she refunds all money.

Also a contract is a great way to weed out the "nonsense" (people who are just wishy washy and flake out).

Don't use the word 'deposit' use the word 'retainer' and make it non refundable. Make it simple and easy to read.

Do you still charge for trials and also take deposit?

Oops sorry I wanted to post that somewhere else. In the contract discuss about what services you are giving, location, deposits, cancelled appointment fees, and bounced check fees, location, refund policy
