I have tried it once from full bottle to empty and if you keep using it faithfully it will give great results.

Yes, I love the deep cleansing wash. it is the only face wash I have ever used that keeps me completely acne free. I got a sample size a while back and it only lasted me close to three weeks, but it was a glorious three weeks! especially for my makeup :))

I used it. I didn't have crazy bad acne but it did clear my face up but after using it for 2-3months it dried my face out TERRIBLY and it also got puffy and sore. I wouldn't recommend it at all.

So you've probably noticed that a lot of people say different things and the reason for that is that everyone is different. Their skin is, to be exact. So go ahead and try it, make sure you stick with it for long enough to know, and decide from there if it works for you. If nothing you try is working, there's nothing wrong with seeing a dermatologist.

No it has bleach and chlorine in it, that's why they give you a nice white towel when you but it! Use a coloured towel to dry your face after using it and you will have bleach stains all over it... Not good for your skin!

I tried it eh didn't help much. its benzoyl peroxcide in proactive that stains the fabric not clorine or bleach. any acne product that contains it can stain fabric.

Really worked in my early 20's but then I stopped. Got acne again. Tried it several years later dried me out terribly. Lots of crust and flakes kinda painful on my oily skin. Too harsh for me.

I think it works differently for everyone. My husband used it and there was no difference for him but a good friend of mine used it and had great results.

As most have said, it works differently for everyone. I tried one product from them, a face wash of some kind. I'm not sure what exactly, it was our roommate's and I just tried a tiny bit and it made my whole face burn. I don't have overly sensitive skin, nothing has ever made my face burn before. So I personally stay away from it. I've heard good things about Dermalogica though. Maybe look into their line and sort of compare them. I think they may also be cheaper in the long run. And I think they probably have an acne starter kit.

Also, as was said before it does not have bleach or chlorine in it. Benzoyl peroxide can bleach/stain hair and clothing but its safe for use on the skin. Proactiv's active ingredient is benzoyl peroxide. If you read the directions on most products containing it, its explained that it may bleach clothing or hair. Other than overdrying the skin (which just about any acne medicine meant to dry out pimples has the potential to do) it's perfectly harmless. Bleach or chlorine would never be allowed to be used in skincare products.

Just putting it out there for anyone who gets facial waxing (eyebrows, lips, chin w.e) do not use proactive (there are a few other big no-no brands for waxing, but a.t.m this is the only one coming to mind. It thins your skin in the process of clearing out your pores and such. Resulting in massive tears during the waxing process. When you take a course in Saskatchewan to become waxer (not sure the professional name, I was just a "hairy model for my friend for her test") it covers a whole chapter about acne medications and proactive was the number one problem med for causing skin irritations and massing tearing during waxing... Just saying..
