I have pigmentation loss all over so I understand what you are going through. I did loads of UV treatments and now it is a lot better. I really suggest you go to your dermatologist and let him fix it.

There dermatologist is your best bet there going to recommend a short term use of something like obagi, and it does contain hydroquinone,I know a lot of people are hesitant to use it,but for short-term use it does help a lot, vitamin c serum and retinol will help but that is melasma not just hyperpigmentation, and harder to get rid of without stronger products

I had hyper pigmentation after enduring a lengthy illness from which now I'm recovered. My derm wiped on a peel..which took less than five minutes. I had a series of three..one week apart. It removed all of my hyper pigmentation and not only evened out my skin tone, but removed the dullness..leaving a healthy glow. It was painless and although there was peeling...it worked wonders. That was four years ago and it has not returned. Sometimes pigment changes are a symptom of an underlying illness, but can also be hereditary. I'd suggest a check- up and doing some research on peels. Mine was non-invasive...involving a simple brush and no need for meds..just a great moisturizer to soothe and promote healing.

I agree that you can get a peel once the dermatologist checks to see if your a candidate for one,not all skin types can tolerate peels ,I can't because I have keloid skin and instead of my skin healing after trama it over heals itself leaving scar tissue I am licenced to do peels but you must have a skin type that reacts well with them

I love my Esty, but I agree, Traci, a derm consultation is best here. I'd avoid home peels until I discussed my options with a trusted, licensed derm. I felt that was best in determining what was needed as I have very sensitive skin...and my Esty agreed and was very sweet. Of course, now I see her for fun stuff like the occasional facial, my waxing...and Margaritas and girly gab!!  ;)

It does cost more for a derm to perform a peel, but consultations are often free and sometimes, insurance will kick in a portion if it's determined a medical issue.

Lol I love a margarita Rozzberry, you also can get a course of microdermabrasion,I do those on clients all the time who can't get peels and if going to the dermatologist is just to much,(which it can be) you can get a home microderm machine called a pmd and do them yourself once a week along with the c serum and spf 30 daily if I'm talkin to much sorry lol.

Thank you Jacqueline ,very kind of you ,and I agree with you about the Estee Lauder I bought it for my kit on your recommendation and it absolutely covers even the worse pigmentation problems.
