Hello. First thing is love this place. I get so much info and good tips but one thing has been getting on my last nerve. It's people telling others to use St lves scrub on their face. That is mostly on of the worst things you can use. You might as well use a pinecone on your face. It's so harsh that it can tear a whole in the top layer of your skin. Just don't use it. 😧. Sorry needed to get that out. 😘

I agree I have a dry patch on my face from using it. Feel so insecure about it. Wish someone had let me know

I'm glad to see there are a few others out there who agree.
Thanks Valen.
Miss C. To help lessen the dry patch use a gentle exfoliate and the use a hydrating heavy face moisturizer then put very little of Vaslen on top of it at night. In the morning use a milky cream face cleanser, toner. And then A heavy day cream and SPF. Use room temp water to cleanse your face because hot can dry it out.

I had two dry patch on my face about a month ago and did this ^^ it will take a week but it will go away. Keep your lotion with you a put some on half during the day. Try not to use powder based makeup on it use creams or liquid. Hope that helps

I am 34 and use to use this scrub when I was a teen. I used it almost two years ago and it ruined my skins moisture barrier and created raw red patches that scaled over eventually and went away on their own. This scrub should be only used for body skin that is not sensitive! Glad I'm not the only one.

I don't like this scrub either. If your skin is even a little sensitive, it's too abrasive. I prefer Dermalogica micro exfoliant. The most gentle I have ever tried. Seems pricey but lasts a long time.

Amelia use as a foot scrub, on your hands, knees ect.

You should probably be a little bit more specific, it's only the apricot scrub that is horribly harsh but the green tea one is really nice :)

I disagree. The scrub can be used by many people, including sensitive types, with great success. I used it as a teen and it kept my skin feeling fab. I always applied it to previously WET skin..never dry. Used very sparingly...the size of a dime for my entire face, neck and collar bone. I applied gently with my fingertips for but a few moments...never applying pressure. Splashed it off with warm water...rinsed with cold and applied moisturizer. Even fine crystals or teeny granules can be abrasive if used too often or ground in like sandpaper. I'd keep it to once a week and be very gentle. Even as a shower scrub, it can be a nice product. These days, I use another product to exfoliate, but enjoyed the product for a weekly pamper without issue.

I'm glad you brung this up, because so many people talk about that crap and all it does is leave your face dirty and dry.

Another one is using green rubbing alcohol on your face as a toner. It's so drying and bad for your skin.
