I have been using the Smashbox CC cream since the beginning of August, and after squeezing and mangling the tube until I couldn't get anymore out, I decided to cut it in half. I could not believe how much product was still left in there. It seems as though it was still at least halfway full. I had already purchased a new tube, but I don't think I'm going to need to use it for another several months.

Lol isn't that a pleasant surprise! I would be so happy if my Nars did that however it comes in a bottle.

That's a surprise and a great trick. I wish a lot of my make up came in a tube.

Also, I use MAC foundation and obviously if little to no product will come out when I pump then I know I'm running out. I used to stick a small foundation brush in the bottle and try to scrape out the rest of the foundation. Now, I replace the cap with the normal hard top cap you get and flip the bottle over for a few days. All of the product falls off the sides and down into the cap. I've gotten 2 more weeks worth of wear by doing this.
Here's a photo of the two caps if anyone cares to see them.

Good trick! I also use smashbox CC cream (my fav!) and I have had it a few months and I thought I was out so in stead of putting it in my makeup I left it out and stood it up right and let all the product fall to the top and I'm still going strong even the days where I'm like, man nothings going to come out , then I'm always surprised when it does lol

I suppose I could've just left it upside down but I don't have that kind of patience xP plus I sometimes like to see how much stuff is left in there even when I think it's empty.

I wouldn't cut/saw your MAC products though! I don't know if that's what you meant. If you return 6 empty containers to MAC you get a free lipstick :-)

Love this trick- I did this with the old bottle Urban Decay primer potions- I got an obscene amount of product out of it.
